Total of an Item from different worksheets

Hi,
I need help in following formula.

=SUMIF('1:3'!D5:D15, "CHICKEN", C5:C15)

Infact I want total of specific items from different worksheets for example
I have 30 worksheets of recipes out of which around 10 has the item "Chicken"
I need in summary sheet Total of Chicken consumed in all worksheets.
can somebody help me with this: I have created 1st sheet by the name "1" and last worksheet by the name "3" all recipe worksheets are in between these.

I merged 2 different formulas seen from different websites but its not working.
