=hyperlink(A1,A2) is not copying properly, shows results but not the link. Why?

Good Evening,

I have a large amount of data sheets, that I often need to refer to, and it is cumbersome to manually go looking for them. I created a sheet with 4 columns : Category,Description, PID, Data Sheet Link, and using some tutorials was able to create a dropdown list which kind of filters the results, based on the categories to give me a much shorter list to go through.

My problem is thatin order to create the hyper link, i had additional columns, one of which listed the first portion of a google search url (https://www.google.com/search?q=) and the next that used the PID, then using the =hyperlink function i combined them to create a complete url, which when clicked would open to the google search results (workbook attached).

I am filtering with 3 helper columns, and an index formula where I would like the search results (based on the data validation list) to populate. THIS is where my problem arises.... I am unable to get any result other than the plain text in the filtered results....no actual link.

I have searched for several hours for a solution, and simply cannot find one, yet I cannot imagine that such a solution doesnt exist.

Could someone please be kind enough to give me guidance on how to correct this?

Without seeing any sample data to test, it is really hard to offer suggestions - I suggest you read the yellow banner at the top of the page.

However, if you are using the formula in your heading...
=hyperlink(A1,A2)
perhaps check to see if you need to anchor (absolute) any of your cell refs?
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)

Thank you for your reply. I did upload the sample data when i made the original post...I guess I forgot to hit the Upload button before I closed the window? I have re-uploaded it properly, and it is attached now. Any advice would be appreciated.

The attached pic shows the formula displaying for the cell, but not the result of the formula. Just for reference....Attachment 786587
