How to add name range to =SUM(COUNTIF(INDIRECT(...name range here...),"x"))

(using office 365) (Using Windows 10)
I am struggling to drop a name range into this formula

    =SUM(COUNTIF(INDIRECT(...name range here...),"x"))

I am just trying to count how many "X"'s are in the Range... I want a range incase a row is added the range should expand... I hope .LOL

    Help is much appreciated
    Thanks

    Try

    =COUNTIF(myRng,"x")

    "myrng" is the named range

I don't understand why you want to use INDIRECT...

A picture is worth 1,000 words. An Excel sheet is worth 1,000 non-editable pictures.

Please read the yellow banner about sample worksheets, at the top of the screen. Act on its guidelines and post a SMALL sample sheet complete with an explanation and some expected results.
