Question RIGHT forumla in VLOOKUP Error

Hello guys, I am triying a simple formula =VLOOKUP(RIGHT(A2,3),table,2,FALSE), but i keep getting n/a. The a2 cell is AV 601 and im tring to get the 601 out. 601 certainly exists in the table. any ideas?

Not without seeing the data: see yellow banner at top of page on how post a sample workbook.

Are you comparing "601" TEXT vs 601 numeric ?

Yes. Should I change both to text?

Put everything into ONE sample workbook, please.

    You could try this:

    =VLOOKUP(--RIGHT(A2,3),table,2,FALSE)
