Count with both column and row criteria

I am trying to count the number of months that have sales in the table (not zero). I want to do this for the "last" 6 months and the "previous" 6 months, for each item listed. I.e. for item ABC the last 6 months have sales in 6 months, whereas the previous 6 months have sales in 4 months.
    Criteria:
    - item code matches to column A
    - last or previous matches to row 1 and
    - count is above 1 in the table data.
