    Hide 00/01/1900 text

    Hi guys

    I am doing an index match from another workbook. I have a UK date format aND my source workbook has: 00/01/1900

    In my workbook I don't want 00/01/1900 being visible as it looks odd. As I am using index match i can't do conditional formatting to say: specific text: 00/01/1900 - put font and fill in white... excel doesn't recognise the text

    How can I get rid of these please? my formula is a simple index match.....

    thanks!
    Thanks,

    R.

    0/1/1900 is a zero value.
    Give the cells the custom format Standard;;

    In that case, a zero value is formatted as indicated after the second semicolon.
    There is nothing after the second semicolon.
    Then a zero value is also formatted as nothing (invisible).
