Find Value Based on Multiple Drop-Down Selections

    Calorie Needs .xlsxCalorie Needs .xlsxHello,
I need to find the amount of protein needed for each category based on a selection from a drop down menu. If a person for example chooses male+low calorie+moderate, I want total protein to be generated, or if they choose female+low calorie+moderate.
FYI:I do have a drop down list for each category...Please assist

    Gender Male
    Program Low Calorie
    Exercise Activity Moderate
    Total protein

    Re: How to use IFS+OR+AND

    Welcome to the forum.

There are instructions at the top of the page explaining how to attach your sample workbook. Screenshots are of little practical use as we cannot manipulate them.

A good sample workbook has just 10-20 rows of representative data that has been desensitised. It also has expected results mocked up, worked examples where required, relevant cells highlighted and a few explanatory notes.

    Re: How to use IFS+OR+AND

    Try this:

    =VLOOKUP(B1&"+"&B2&"+"&B3,$E$1:$F$15,2,0)

    Administrative Note:

Your thread title does not really convey what your request is about. Tell us what you are trying to do, not how you think it should be done.

Please take a moment to amend your thread title. Make sure that the title properly explains your request. Your title should be explicit and not be generic (this includes function names used without an indication of what you are trying to achieve).

Please see Forum Rule #1 about proper thread titles and adjust accordingly. To edit the thread title, open the original post to edit and then click on Go Advanced (bottom right) to access the area where you can edit your title.

(Note: this change is not optional. As a courtesy, I have done it for you this time.)

Or use the index/match formula with a little change in layout.
