    Lookup then run formula

    Hello Everyone, I am looking to run a rolling historical headcount report. It needs to be broken down by the departments. I have used the formula provided from another thread to get the total headcount {formula: =SUMPRODUCT((report_Headcount_Report___RV_RR!$H$2:$H$2234<=D$1)*((report_Headcount_Report___RV_RR!$I$2:$I$2234="")+(report_Headcount_Report___RV_RR!$I$2:$I$2234>D$1))) }

    As I stated, I am wanting to look up a department (column A) and return the data from the look up into column B for that department only.

    Example.xlsxExample.xlsx

    Thanks~!!!

    Welcome to the forum.

    I am not 100% sure without seeing the data table this is coming from, but your amended formula might look something like this:
    Formula: copy to clipboard

    Where you would change the Department_Column to the column listing which department each person is in, assuming that matches the data structure.

    Did you attach the correct file?

    The words don't maatch the file and (t make things even more confusing) there are no expected results int he sample file.

    Finally... is your forum profile showing the Excel version that you need this request to work with?

    The best solutions often rely on knowing WHICH version of Office (Excel, NOT Windows) that you have. Please check that your forum profile is up-to-date. If you aren't sure, in Excel go to File/Account and report what it says below the MS logo at the top of that page. If your version is for Mac, please also state this.

    The three most recent versions of Excel are Excel 2019, Excel 2021 and MS365 - if you are using MS365, please give this name along with the Version number in your profile (e.g. MS365 (PC) Version 2211). The version number is in the About Excel section further down the Account page.

    Cheers,

    Glenn.
