    COUNTIFS formulae that increase date range via autofill/paste

    Hi All,

    I've attached a sample of what I've been working on. I have a formula in the FIGURES tab that counts any cells in the Randomisation log tab using data within a date range, e.g.

    =COUNTIFS('Randomisation log'!$H:$H,">=01/03/2021",'Randomisation log'!$H:$H,"<31/03/2021")

    Is there an easy to make it so that when I drag down to rows below to autofill, or if I copy/paste, that it automatically changes to the subsequent month, e.g.

    =COUNTIFS('Randomisation log'!$H:$H,">=01/04/2021",'Randomisation log'!$H:$H,"<30/04/2021")

    And so on? Currently when I paste to the row below it simply repeats the formula, and I have to change the date range by hand.

    Fast answers need visual help. Please read the yellow banner at the top of this page on how to attach a file and a mocked up solution.

    Many many thanks for this helpful solution! HansDouwe your solution made sense to me, while TMS unfortunately yours was a bit beyond me I'm afraid!
