Sequential Number Incrementing for Table Not Working

Hi All,

I'm working on customizing an Excel Forms spreadsheet with MS Forms & SharePoint.
Whenever the form is filled out, the excel spreadsheet automatically updates the form with the data requested. I want to add to this form by adding a column that automates a new incrementing number.

Currently I am using the following formula which I thought would work as the table increments with a new row, but instead i just keep getting new entries that keep duplicating the previous entry.

Line 1-8 I manually updated the sequencing and works as expected.
Lines 9-11 is what happens after I update the form and is automated. As you can see, it is not adding in the next sequential number.

You are correct, if I manually update the cell and drag it down it works. However whenever a new entry is added, the formula is not updating.

Thanks Glenn, I gave it a try and still no go. I might have to take this up with some SharePoint/Forms forums. Thanks for all the suggestions everyone.

Sorry for the delayed response Glenn. "Still no go" meant that I attempted your suggested solution and it didn't work for me.
I ended up utilizing SharePoint's features to accomplish what I needed. Thank you for your time though, it is appreciated.
