Formula v Pivot Table or manual entry

Using the attached xlsx file we are trying to get the information from sheet 1 to extrapolate specific data to sheet 2 in the format shown in sheet 2.

Each name matches between the two sheets however, we are needing to show if the date in sheet 1 is listed, a check box/x to show up in the respective date in sheet 2.

Is this even possible with the dataset given or is this a manual process??

You need to "normalize" the data. I did this on the Data Sheet for two students and for one week.

I computed a flag depending on what kind of meals are associated with the student.
    - F means full meal
    - E means entre only
    - The next possible letter is the first letter of the type of pizza.
    - S means snack

So FS means full meal + snack (no pizza). EPS means entre only + peperoni pizza + snack and FC means full meal + cheese pizza and no snack.

Cell S1 is the first of the month (in this case 2/1/2023).

One spreadsheet to rule them all. One spreadsheet to find them. One spreadsheet to bring them all and at corporate, bind them.

A picture is worth a thousand words, but a sample spreadsheet is more likely to be worked on.
