Sum if data is in either column

Sorry if this has already been solved, I am unsure of how to go about this problem or which functions to use or search for.

I have a table, each day a person gets a lift to or from work, sometimes both. It costs ?1.50 a day, regardless of journey amounts.
This table is computer generated and cannot have helper columns (at the moment)

So i'm just trying to check for the persons name in either column and adding up the results in another table.

    Simplified version attached.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance!
