How to make a live tracker that updates other cells as data is entered

Hello,

I would like to track results for a quota for this year.

I have the year total which is 40,000. I would like to have someone be able to manually enter their numbers for each month that equal up to this 40,000 quota. They would then add their actuals.

I want the actuals to change with the quota.

So, let's say if the quota for
January is 3000
February is 4000
March is 2500

The actual for January is 2500, then the deficit of 500 should make February Quota go from 4000 to 4500.

If the Actuals for February is 5500, then the surplus should bleed over into March, and so on all the way down, if that makes sense.

Is there a way to make this carry down through all the values. So my quota for every month will update with the + or - quota. So if there are 12 months and I get +400 for the first month that 400 should be divided out

This is exactly what i'm looking for! OMG!

One thing I noticed is that when there is a surplus. Let's say 5000 Actual to 4,000 Quota. The formula adds a + per month, when instead it should be taking it away. Essentially, if we go above by 1,000. That means that 1,000 per month is not needed for the rest of the year since we hit our quota + more. If that makes sense?

Also, do the January and February work or am I just looking at it wrong? Thanks so much man. you are a lifesaver.
