Good evening, I have a table of data that gets new data automatically everyday and would like formula that searches "DATE" and "PAYMENT AMOUNT" and returns whatever payment was for that month..
I have uploaded a sample spreadsheet and have tried to make it as clear as possible, thanks very much.
Not clear from your example as the dummy data is over-simplified - you are looking for something that searches for the date and returns the corresponding amount?
Assuming you are using a fairly modern version of excel, then try this formula in cell G4:Formula:
