    Xlookup or Index/Match Confusion

Hi. with the attached workbook, I have been trying to create dependent dropdown boxes that show a list in the second box based on which brand was chosen in the first, then fills the data for the remaining fields. I have been having a terrible time with xlookup, and was then reading that it may be an index/match type of situation instead. Could anyone please take a peek at this and provide me some guidance? The BOM tab is the sheet where the boxes will be, the lists tab is my lists. I have the lists going across, but also going down a bit further on the sheet. Tried it both ways.

I moved the wheelock and simplex lists to separate sheets.
I created only a few named ranges...

I put three sample dv boxes on BOM sheet.
    dv 1 (list 1, first choice): =List_1
    dv2 (list 2, first dependent): =INDIRECT(K3)
    dv : =INDIRECT(SUBSTITUTE(M$3," ","_"))

I didn't know where you intended to put the dv boxes so I put them off the the side, just for demonstration. You have a list of devices in column B but the lists don't seem to apply to them.
