Formula to look up multiple results for different plants

    Hello,

I am newer to the forum. I am working on some data that was given to me by a colleague. Basic premise is there are material numbers and some of the same at different plants and storage indicators.

What I am needing to do is if a material number at one plant has an storage indicator of IL, and the same material is at a different plant with the indicator of LL, then I need to change the IL to LL. If there is not an LL at a different location, then it stays at IL.

I am also going to attach a small spreadsheet. I am just confused how to get started to make this work.

Any help and advice will be great

    thanks

    Aaron

Do you mean to directly overwrite the data with the correct data? So changed to LL if necessary?

Anyway, this gives you an overview of orders which you need to change to LL

    Paste in J2

I can change it in the column, but Since it is a report someone runs frequesntly I figured I could add this as a new column for them.

Thank you for the formula. I did try to use it and got a #name? error. I assumed it was because my material number column was text, but I tried to just add real numbers and still had the error. I hate to ask but do you know what I may have done wrong?

Are you using O365? And maybe you have different regional settings. Maybe change the “,” to “;”
