How to random with rand or randbetween

Hello good people.

I am trying to random some numbers without the use of rand and randbetween.
I have tried some formulas but to no avail. Can someone please take a look at the formula and make it work please.

You're trying to generate random numbers without using formulas specifically for generating random numbers? Why?
I think that will be difficult.

You didn't answer my question. WHY don't you want to use RAND or RANDBETWEEN?

I'm far from an expert in random number generation. Off the top of my head, I don't recognize the algorithm you are wanting to use. We are good at programming known algorithms into Excel, but not always knowledgeable in developing the algorithms.

You can then link to here for a simple "linear congruential generator" https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Line...tial_generator which should be fairly simple to implement in Excel.

Help us understand the RNG algorithm you want use, and we may be able to help implement it in Excel.
