VLookup Multiple Criteria - Different Sheet

    Hi

I need to create a VLookup to pull data from column 15 from a separate sheet.

The issue I'm having is I need the VLookup to look at 2 different columns to then pull the correct cell information.

The Look Up I need it to do is check the location and a Product code and then it is to pull the cost prices into the main sheet.

The Product Code is in multiple locations and the cost price is different depending on the location which is why I need the formula to check both before it pulls the data through.

I saw online I should be doing the below formula but it will not work.

    =VLOOKUP(B2&" "&AG2, 'Cost Price'!A:Q, 15, FALSE)

    Any help would be amazing

Re: VLookup Multiple Criteria - Different Sheet

There are instructions at the top of the page explaining how to attach your sample workbook. Screenshots are of little practical use as we cannot manipulate them.

A good sample workbook has just 10-20 rows of representative data that has been desensitised. It also has expected results mocked up, worked examples where required, relevant cells highlighted and a few explanatory notes.

    Administrative Note:

Is your forum profile showing the version of Excel that you need this to work for?

Members will tailor the solutions they offer to the version of Office (Excel, NOT Windows) that you have. Please check that your forum profile is up-to-date in this respect. If you aren't sure, in Excel go to File | Account and report what it says below the MS logo at the top of that page. If your version is for Mac, please also state this.

The three most recent versions of Excel are Excel 2019, Excel 2021 and MS365 - if you are using MS365, please give this name along with the release number in your profile (e.g. MS365 Version 2211). This is in the About Excel section further down the Account page.

    Thanks.

This might work, without a model though we can't try it out.

Please Login or Register to view this content.
Hint: take out any extra ""'s, and spaces that will mess up your formula.
And, on your Cost Price tab, column A will need to contain the hybrid combination of what is located in B2 and AG2 in order to return the value in column O (col 15).
Confirm it's column 15 you want to return. A to Q range is 17 columns, but your formula is asking for returned value from col. O.

Re: VLookup Multiple Criteria - Different Sheet

    Hi

    I added the sample document.

The VLOOKUP is to go into Sales Sample Column Q.

I need it to check columns B & H from sheet 'Sales Sample' against Columns A and C in Sheet Cost Prices and then pull the information in Column O in Cost Prices into Column Q in Sales Sample.

    Thank you for your help.

    Try:
    =IFERROR(INDEX('Cost Prices'!$O$2:$O$10,MATCH(B2&H2,'Cost Prices'!$A$2:$A$10&'Cost Prices'!$C$2:$C$10,0)),"")
