Hi, i need help, i don't know why, i am trying to do a Subtotal for my excel, however, i keep getting Error when i do the sumif portion.
I uses Index, by right, should work, but i dont know y, it keep getting error.
Morever, my z only has 6 value, however, when i do the sumif, the list by right should be 6 also, but i get a lot more.

I have removed the references to urgency. On a free help forum, you get help as and when someone wants to help. It's a bit pushy of you to tell us it's urgent.
Now... at what LEVEL do you want sub-totals? For each unique value in column A? Something else?

We cannot use Sumif(Index(y,,1),z,(Index(y,,8)? Why is this so?

SUMIF will only wotk with ranges Index(y,,1) isn't a range any more.
Learn to love LAMBDAs, they will put an end to Pivot Tables and are revolutionising Excel.
The only time i use Excel now... is here. I'm retired from employement and live a hippy beach bum lifestyle. If I can get to grips with Lambda, so can you.
Yes, i know Lambda is super useful. But somehow it make the formula appear super complicated..... haiz
