INDEX/MATCH reversed (need to find the value in column A)

    INDEX/MATCH reversed (need to find the value in column A)

    Hello Forum,

    I have tried and searched several forums thinking I would find exactly my question but I either did not open the right threads or my question has never been asked.

    That being said, I need to get the valueA in column A that is on the same row as a valueX that can be in any column.

    I have two known criteria : the column title and the valueX.

    The attached file will show you exactly what I need.

    I'm not sure which value you want in return, so there is two formulas.

    WOW ! I don't know where to turn!

    I have not had the time to test all of them but I trust you and guess each one of your solutions would meet my need.

    In order to complete my assignment I went with the 1st one - so Fluff13 is the winner - but I will study all the others.
