    HLOOKUP problem?

    Hi,

I seem to be having problems with the HLOOKUP function in Excel 2003 Professional.

Quite simply, I am searching a lot of data (over 30 columns and about 14000 rows) and, depending on how much data I have, seems to depend on whether I get the right result from the HLOOKUP.

If I search my current data set upto column AH I get the correct result, but it I search to column AI I get the result from the Column AI

    So:
=hlookup("time", A1:AH14000,5,TRUE) returns data from the correct column, row 5

    but:
=hlookup("time", A1:AI14000,5,TRUE) returns data from the column AI, row 5

Is there something I'm not getting right?
Is there a maximum size to the array?

    Thanks

    Dale.

I have the same but I can go uptill column 'AM'.

The amount of colums must be the limitation. Usealy in the help file the limitations can be viewed (e.g. 8 if functions or 30 statements in 'average') but for hlookup I cannot find it.
