Here is the original formula

100*((B8*(A9-A8))+(B7*(A9-A7))+(B6*(A9-A6))+(B5*(A9-A5))+(B4*(A9-A4))+B3*(A9-A3))


I am trying to refine the formula for the calculation of series data.

This formula is for cell B9. B3 is the first cell of the series. B10 and up should follow the same formula. So in B10 the first part of the formula would be

100*((B10*(A10-A9)) + (B9*(A10-A8) + .........

Any ideas?

Try this:
B9: =100*SUMPRODUCT(A3:A8,(A9-B3:B8))
