    Arrow condition formatting

Is it possible to link condition formatting to other cells that have no value or text inserted. For example, if A1 = 1 then cell A2 would turn black. cell A2 may be blank or have text therefore the problem!

    many thanks

    Try the following...

    1) Format > Conditional Formatting > Formula Is

    2) Enter the following formula:

    =$A$1=1

    3) Choose your formatting

    4) Click OK

    Hope this helps!
