    excel formula/function woes

    please i need urgent help!
my mom is taking an accounting course and in her workbook they ask her to copy and paste a column from one work sheet to another. This column is, however, a function of 4 previous columns in the orginial worksheet, and so when it is copied and pasted it obviously does not refer to the same original cells and therefore doesnt work. How can she make a new formula that refers to cells in the original worksheet, the formula being made ofr the new worksheet. (i.e. how does one make a formula to refer to cells in a worksheet not currently being worked on). A step by step answer would be greatly appreciated as she is a novice.

    Try the following...

    1) Select your column

    2) Edit > Copy

    3) Select your destination cell on your other worsksheet

    4) Edit > Paste Special > Paste Link

    Hope this helps!
