I got a sheet from someone else. In trying to sort, I get the error message
"merged cells must be identically sized". How can I sort?

You need to unmerge the cells. In general, you should avoid
merged cells if at all possible.

I have been following the threads on the subject of Sorting Merged Cells. My
file is strictly a database in which I do NOT utilize the merge fields option
at all. But today, after having successfully sorted once, I am now getting
the message "This operation requires the merged fields to be identically
sized".
Question: How does one determine the cells that are set as merged fields and
secondly, how to you "unmerge" them?
Thanks,
Jim
