    A simple question

What does this equation mean? Why is there a "+" sign? Thanks...

+ is a flag that indicates the cell contains a formula instead of other content.

The asterisk is the multiplication operator, so the formula means...

Multiply the contents of cell c31 and the number 0.08

    Good evening Exsam21

The equals sign means that what is to follow is a formula.
The plus sign is an operator to multiply that cell reference by that operand before the rest of the formula.
