Most of the rows in my Excel database sort as they should but some are
totally out of order and I can't figure out how to fix the problem.

What is the data like? This is often caused by some cells being formatted as
text and some being formatted as numbers. You can add 0 to all the cells to
get them all to be the same type, then format as General.

if you are sorting more than 3 ranges you have to start with the least
important ranges first , once you do that sort a second time
