    VLOOKUP Command returning #N/A

    Hello,

Everyday I have to download multiple reports and then copy + paste them manually into one report. I want to automate the process by making a macro of a vlookup command, but I can't get the vlookup to work.

I have attached two training sheets we give our interns that don't have any real data on them.

Here is a video of what I've been trying to do: http://screencast.com/t/XAQXbXsJ

I dont think this is a formatting issue. I already changed the columns to text.

    Really appreciate your help!

    Hi Pglagaris,

    Welcome to Excelforum.

First thing your lookup array is not starting according your lookup value. Your lookup value is Campaign# (150806A),if you will try to find this digit in CSV file it will nothing find.

Please clear once your expected result.

    Re: VLOOKUP Command returning #N/A

    Hi,

Very good idea to upload a screencast...

The Campaign # is not matching Column A (JobID) in SampleData.cvs in this case, but is partly matching Column B (Name).

I tried the following as an example (in the SampleReport):

    F7: =SUMIF(SampleData.csv!$B$5:$B$2026,$B7&"*",SampleData.csv!F$5:F$2026)
    G7: =SUMIF(SampleData.csv!$B$5:$B$2026,$B7&"*",SampleData.csv!K$5:K$2026)

    See how that works.
