    Help With IF Statement? Maybe Not IF?

    Good Day,

    In Excel I have information in various columns.

    Say in column A there is a "Date of Hire", and in column B there is the "Employee Name."

    I want to be able to retrieve the date of hire, and the employee name based on whether the "date of hire" is greater than or equal to the present day.

    I currently have a cell A1 with =today() in it and have based an "IF statement" in another cell to filter/format the data (see attached). Problem is, if the value is not true, I have set it to ="FALSE". I would like my final output to be without FALSE or blank cells. I would just like to have the name and the date of hire based upon the criteria in the IF statement. Also the data varies each month (based upon the # of people hired)

    Any help offered would be greatly appreciated.

    Sincerely,
    Jason

    Simply used would be

    =IF(B1<TODAY(),"",A1)

    with no reason to set D1

    alternately you can use

    =IF(B1<$D$1,"",A1)

    if you do not always want to use 'today' date.
