adding numbers to a vertical column

Hi, How are you going?
This is probably very easy, but I have not been able to work it out myself. if someone could help me, I'd appreciate it!

I want to add the number 1 to each numeral in a large vertical column of figures

for example:
6
11
11
9
10
10
7
etc.

I'd like to just click a button and get this:
7
12
12
10
11
11
8
etc.

or this:
6 7
11 12
11 12
9 10
10 11
10 11
7 8
etc.

i don't need to add the column up as a total, i just need to convert the column to a column list of the same numerals with the number 1 added to them, whether this is in the same column or in a new one, it doesn't matter. Oh, by the way, I'm using Mac OS X!

Why not , in cell B1 :
=A1+1
and copy all the way down ... ?

A good way to do this is to type 1 into a cell, then copy the cell, select the entire range you want to update, then select paste special\add
