    Charting help

Hi there, I am trying to have Excel plot this data on a simple bar chart or graph?
    Jan 1 = -7
    Jan 2 = -9
    Jan 3 = 20
    Jan 4 = 16
    Jan 5 = 20
    Jan 6 = -4
I have a whole year of data.

The positive numbers plot a green bar and the negative numbers plot a red bar.

Any input would be much appreciated, Kindest Regards,
    Martin.

Ray, thanks for that tip. I never noticed that check box before.

Martin, not sure I understand your question about the bottom axis, exactly. But, a couple of things might help ...

+ look under Chart Options (either right-click on the chart, or use menu path Chart >> Chart Options). On the "Axes" tab you have the option to make the X axis a Category (if you do not want blanks for days you have no data) or Time-Scale (if you have data for every day, as shown)
+ double-click on the X-axis to open the Format Axis dialog. On the "Scale" tab you can choose where the Y axis crosses and what intervals you want the dates displayed

    Hope this helps.
