Running Balance Calculation - with timestamp parameters

Hello everyone,


I am trying to figure out how best to create a running balance of data, hosted on a separate sheet. Here are my specifications:

* I have data that is added to a spreadsheet throughout the day.

* The data is timestamped.

* I'd like to have a cell on a separate sheet that provides a running balance (constantly updating), of the data, based on the timestamp. A new cell should be created for each new day, and the balance should remain in the cell permanantly.

* The ultimate goal is to produce charts of the count. For instance, I wish to produce a chart that shows how many people recorded their visit on our spreadsheet on any given day. Ideally, the chart would update automatically, just as the running balance updates automatically.
