    Changing data in an entire column?

    Thank you in advance for your help. I am not sure if this is possible to do the way I want to. I have searched this forum and Excel help and have had no luck. I keep a list of vendor's products in one column and in the next column is the products cost. When there is a price increase say 5% I would like to highlight the column with our cost in it and have the values increase by 5%.
    I haven't figured out how to do this correctly yet, anywhere close?
    =(B1:B12)/.05

    Go to an empty cell and type in 1.05 and hit enter. Go back to the cell containing 1.05 and copy. Highlight the column of product cost data and use Edit/Past Special and highlight "multiply" and hit "OK". This will multiply all highlighted cells by 1.05 thus increasing them by 5%.

    Hope this helps

    When I go to edit paste special isn't highlighted as available. Am I doing something wrong?

    I'm sorry, I didn't see I had to copy first. Thank you for your help!

    That works.

    Alternatively, on a new column, you can have

    (for example on the first row)
    C1=B1*1.05

    With that, you can use your drag (sorry I dont know what its called) on the bottom right corner of the cell and drag down to as many cells you need this value to be calculated.
