Conditional Format-corresponding row be filled with color

I have a spreadsheet with data on Column A to F.

If the value of any cell on Column A is "P", I would like to have cell A to F on the corresponding row be filled with color. For example, if Cell A1 is "P", then Cell A1 to F1 will be filled with color.

Any suggestion would be appreciated. Thanks...

    1.Highlight A1:F1
    2. Go to conditional format>"Formula is">enter formula =$A1="P"
    3. Format accordingly
    4. Highlight A1:F1, and copy
    5. Highlight A2:F100 and hit paste special, formats

    This should work
