    Can't describe....

Hi guys, I have a sheet to work out costs against a number of projects.

The projects run down column A from row 8 onwards, the staff run accross row 6, with their rate in row 7. Hours are entered for each staff member against each project, so a formula is needed to multiply the number of hours against each project against the various different rates.... make sense?

At the moment I have this...

    =G8*G$7+H8*H$7+I8*I$7+J8*J$7

Where row 7 is the rate, which obviously remains the same regardless of project and row 8 is the number of hours spent on that project, with the staff funning from G6 to J6.

Any help? Is that clear, I think I've confused myself.
