Properly linking data from 2 sheets in a workbook

I have 2 sheets in a work book. Sheet two is exported from a data base and only spacefic info needs to be populated to sheet 1. What each sheet has in common is that there are tech numbers listed in column A going from 507 to 630. Sheet 1 is always constant but sheet 2 will change day to day depending on who is working. How can I get spacefic cells from a tech on sheet 2 to translate to sheet 1.

Example one day 514 might be A5 on sheet 2 and the next day he could be A8. 514 is always A7 on sheet 1.

If 514 is in A8 (sheet 2) and I want cells E8 and G8 to link to certain cells for 514 how would I do this. Keep in mind it might change tomorrow and it may be E10 and G10 that need to link to 514 on sheet 1.

Need help bad, if I can do this I will save about 45 min of work a day.

Seems to me that Vlookup would do the task quite nicely.
