Cool Is It Possible To Make Graphs Of My Own?

i have a scenario , large amount of data for graph , and all the data is not in maths (i.e. figures ).
To give an idea im doing an analysis for the copmpany to hire for my BPO Operations, now i have the price quotations in $ and the workforce, the location , now what i want is to have a different colour for each location (i.e BAR) however that not possible as name of city is not a math.
    Any suggestions...
how do i go about it?

    Hi,

with the city in column A, the value in column B select the data for both columns and Insert Chart, Bar chart.

Then rightmouse the data series and 'Format Data Series', under Options select different colour for each point.
