    Transposing Cell References

    I've been working on a project that requires me to transpose vlookup and cell references. For example, I need Row B to have cells with "=B5", "=B6", "=B7", etc. Is there an easier way than just typing in those references?

    I've tried typing them vertically, and duplicating them, then "Paste Special - Transpose - Formulas", but they just come back as #REF fields.

    I was thinking of using VLOOKUP and adding extra rows of labels to coincide with the references, but I think that would be more work.

    I'm not 100% sure what you are asking here, but I have an assumption that you have a column you need to transpose into a row as formulas.

    so from your example... this is what I'd do

    =INDIRECTT("B"&COLUMN())

    Hope that helps...

    Thanks for the reply... I know I was very vague on the question... I'm surpirsed anyone said anything. I'm fiddling with this now and I'll let you know if/when it works out
