    Isnumber Format Problem I Think

I'm trying to get the following to work:

    =isnumber(g134)*e134

g134 produces a number from countif formula which works fine and is formatted as a number.

e134 has no formula and just a number I assign such as 11

So when the countif formula produces a value the isnumber produces "11". The problem is when there is no count from the countif formula it still shows the"11" value. Is it a formatting problem? I've tryed different formats with no luck. What am i doing wrong!

    Thanks for any help.

The isnumber tests the result of the countif. Unless it is an error, the countif will return a number (0,1,2....). So that part of the formula will be true (ie 1). When you multiply that by 11 you get 11.

What do you want the result to be when the countif returns 0?

The result I would like is 0 when when the countif returns 0. Is that possible?

    =(COUNTIF(rng,G134)>0)*E134
