Sumif & Date

I want to sum the total from a day in a column to the right of the data. See the image I attached, or visit this link to see the same image.. I just need to be able to sum up all the points eaten in a day using the data as it is. Any help? The date is located in column A and the point value is located in column G.

Use Sumif() and Date()

e.g. =SUMIF(A2:A14,DATE(2007,7,2),G2:G14)

adjust ranges to suit.

You can replace DATE(2007,7,2) with a cell reference housing the date of concern.
