Auto Filter

Hey All,
I need a little help I am trying to setup a spread sheet with an auto filter, what I want it to do is omit hidden cells when you select one of the filters...i.e....filter only todays results and give a total for todays activities only....When I click the filter now it does not adjust the total at all...Thanks in advance...

If you are using the SUM fnction to use your totals, then try using SUBTOTAL instead, using a qualifier of 109, which will only total visible cells, thus :

=SUM(A1:A10)

change to :

=SUBTOTAL(109,A1:A10)
