#n/a data lost with XIRR, XNPV, EOMONTH functions

Hello, I have a sytematic problem in that when I build in the XIRR, XNPV, and EOMONTH formulas into my models, and save and close the file, the next time I open the files these formulas are lost and replaced with #n/a. I am not using any macro in the file I'm working on. I have Windows Vista, newly installed. Can somebody please help me fix this issue. Thanks and regards

If you are saving as .CSV you will lose all functions and capture only the computed values, some of which may be the error #n/a.

If you are saving as .XLS (Workbook format) then what you report seems impossible.

Actually, I am saving as .xls. When I save as .xlsx i do not run into the problem. However I like to save as .xls because that way I can share the file with users that do not have vista.

    Thoughts?

Can you upload a workbook that shows the problem?
