Mode with exclusions or top 3 occur?

What forumla would I use if I trying to determine the 3 or 4 numbers that occur the most in a range? Could I use Mode and have exclusions or something else? excel 2003 ver thanks

Suggestion. I'm not an expert at Pivot Tables, but I managed to get one to display the count for all numbers in a range, and it sorted it into order, too. Look at the documentation for Pivot Tables, to get a partially automated answer.
