I am trying to add a certain number of "Business Days" to a date. It seem excel can do alot of calculating with business days but haven't been able to figure this one out.
the Workday() function, which is part of the Analysis Toolpak Addin that ships with Excel does that.
If you have a date in A1, then =WORKDAY(A1,8) will add 8 business days to the date in A1.
note: that function has an optional "holidays" argument, which you can use to exclude certain holidays when calculating business days.
e.g. =Workday(A1,9,Holidays) where Holidays is a named range listing holiday dates.
