    Rounding

    Been looking at formulas but cant figure this one out.

    I have 1.42 grams and want to keep it.
    I have 10.42 and would like to display 10.4
    I have 100.1 and would like to display 100
    I have 1001 and would like to keep 1001

    ???

    you'll need to explain in English what you're actual criteria are. The examples alone don't say much.

    Okay

    if number is under 10 then show x.xx
    if number is from 10-99 then show xx.x
    if number is over 100 then show xxx

    I dont need to show tenths or hundredths when number is too big

    try:

    =ROUND(A1,IF(A1<10,2,IF(A1<100,1,0))) copied down

    where A1 houses first number

    Edit: changed formula
