shortcut to insert custom text

I often have to type scientific abbreviations such as mgl-1 (milligrams per litre) or ls-1 (litres per second). The "-1" in these examples are in superscript. Can I create shortcut keys to insert customised text like these?

See if this event macro helps

Right click your sheet and select view code then paste this in. When you type either mgl-1 or is-1 it will change the 1 to superscript
