a formula using SUMIF or/and Lookup features

    Please see attachment.
OBJECTIVE: A formula that calculates the salary total of the people who partipated in the "special project" for the month of November. **The number of participate names can increase from month to month. Would it be better to use a SUMIF feature or/and Lookup? and can you give me an example?

    Gratefully yours,

    Hi, Try this in B22
    =SUMPRODUCT(($A$4:$A$16=A22)*($E$4:$E$16=11)*($D$4:$D$16))
