Data Validation

Afternoon all

I've been asked something which is probably very simple but for some reason I can't work it out.

A user has an excel spreadsheet which has 9 columns that have data validation so they either have a cross, a tick or n/a. What they want in the 10th cell is if a cross is entered anywhere in the 9 cells, it automaitcally populates the 10th cell with a cross.

Can this be done?

=IF(COUNTIF(A1:J1,"x"),"x","")

Thanks muchly, that works but user has just come back to me and said that they want the data validation still in the 10th cell.......

Not sure whether that's possible, if it is then it's probably with VBA, you may need to ask in that Category, but link back to this question when you do.
