Created Dropdown list - How to change Font?

I have created a dropdown list for a cell by going to Data>Validation and setting the 'Allow' box to list and then setting the 'Source' box to a pre-defined range. This all works great for populating the dropdown.

However the text in the dropdown is extremely small. How do you change the font in the dropdown? The selected value appears fine in the actual linked cell because you can change it through Format Cell.

As far as I'm aware, you can't change the font.

The closest you can come is changing the Zoom ratio. You can do this through VBA when a cell with Data Validation is selected - but it's a pretty ugly way to do it.
