i've been having a few problems,

i created a data programme at work and it automatically records all the results, time logs and numbers of info through simple pivot tables and a summary sheet that joins to a automatically updated graph.

after many of the results entered on the sheet i and my colleagues have to enter a new row with the same information as the row above barr the date, ref number and original result. this action has to be reproduced about 400 times a day per person over 12 people.

is there a way that when i enter a certain result in to the column that it automatically inserts a coloured lione below but still contain much of the original info
( like i said above barr the result, date and ref number)

do i need to use a macro or is there a simpler way like certain formulas and formats
